The Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA) has named Anna Bager, current executive vice president of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), as its next president and CEO. Bager will start in her new role in September, replacing Nancy Fletcher, who has led OAAA since 1991 during a period when the industry faced significant legislative battles.
Originally from Sweden, Bager was selected after a six-month search by a committee including CEOs from leading Out of Home firms like JCDecaux, Intersection, Lamar Advertising, Outfront Media and Clear Channel Outdoor.
Bager’s work at IAB has included various initiatives in digital, mobile, video and data representing more than 650 member companies like Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Disney. She also has been responsible for market research, media measurement, and advocacy for key issues like brand safety and consumer privacy.
Bager’s formal introduction to the industry will be made on October 14 when the World Out of Home Organization (formerly FEPE International) partners with OAAA and research body Geopath to host a networking presentation in New York City during an opening session for New York Digital Signage Week.
