USSC Foundation Publishes New Research Guidance on Freestanding Sign Heights

FASI partnered with the USSC Foundation to support this study which recommends height guidelines for freestanding signs and also addresses visibility issues related to monument signs.

Sign companies and industry advocates have emphasized the importance of preserving sufficient latitude for heights and sizes of freestanding signs when sign codes are drafted. The new USSC Foundation study amplifies these precautions and provides additional support for evidence-based sign regulations. The new study also illuminates shortcomings of the pole-sign bans which have been implemented by various U.S. jurisdictions.
